“So Familiar”

Worlds on fire
Covered in ice
A silhouette
Lost in requiem

A face
It visits
From time to time
Weaving words
Of happenstance

Speaking of symbols
Inside the monolith
Left
Far beyond
Time

A dream
So familiar

Hands
Poised
Against child like
Intuition

Somewhat apprehensive

Feeding feeble minds
Visions
Of tomorrows
That never come

Against the grain
Of what might have
Been

Truth
Lies
One in the same
When virtue is on
The line

The face
Still lingers
Even after all these
Years
Decades

Spinning tales
Of future indiscretion
And life
So surreal
Eternally
Insane
